About Us

Ash First Aid Training was established in 2009, by Alexandra Hayward, a Qualified Nurse, with over 20 years experience, with the aim of providing First Aid trainers who have a greater depth of knowledge.
She felt that it is not sufficient for First Aid Trainers to have merely attended a two day course, on top of their First Aid at Work course, prior to teaching a subject of this importance.
First Aid Trainers should have a real understanding of how the body responds to an injury and why the prescribed treatment is given.

Since then we have taken this same belief and grown to incorporate training for healthcare professionals in a wide range of subjects. All of our tutors work in the healthcare industry, and are as passionate about their subjects as they are ensuring that all of our students deliver a high standard of care.
All of our trainers can answer the ‘WHY’ as well as the ’HOW’ questions and by bringing their own experiences into the classroom, make the compulsory elements interesting and relevant, thus enhancing the candidates confidence in the quality of the course and their own abilities. A majority of our healthcare courses include a pracical element and students are assessed for competency.
