All of our courses are available to groups and organisations, unfortunately we do not run open access courses for individuals. The prices shown are for single bookings, discounts are available for block bookings. 
 
All of our courses are taught, we do not offer on-line courses, as we believe that the knowledge imparted from an expert trainer is invaluable and cannot be matched by on-line or blended courses. 
Anaphylaxis Awareness Course 
 
We are very proud to be able to offer our Anaphylaxis Awareness course. All of our trainers are qualified nurses and have all taken and passed the Anaphylaxis Campaigns course for health professionals. We believe that this enables us to be able to give you the most up to date and highest quality training that you expect. 
 
We are able to provide this training for both childcare and adult environments, each with it's own set of requirements.

Overview of the Resuscitation Council (UK) algorithm for Managing Anaphylaxis (2008 Guidelines) 
Continuing deterioration and overview of management

Management of Emergencies in Epilepsy 
 
This is a course of which we are very proud. It is designed for anyone who cares for or knows someone with epilepsy, or just wants to know more about this complicated condition. 
 
Our course covers: 
 
What is epilepsy 
Overview of different types of seizure 
Triggers of seizures 
What to do during/after a seizure 
Administration of Emergency medication 
Devising your own protocol/management plan 
 
Course lasts ½ day 
Basic Life Support 
 
The BLS course is mandatory for nurses and healthcare workers but is relevant to others who want to learn how to perform the skill of CPR, primary and secondary assessments, using the recovery position, how to use various ventilation aids, use of O2 and suction if available. 
 
All courses are taught using the current Resuscitation Council Guidelines (UK) 
 
Course lasts ½ day  
 
Our trainers have many years of experience working with and training GP surgeries in the Hertfordshire, Essex and London areas. 
 
The courses can be run at times to suit you, daytime, evening or weekend at no extra cost.

Diabetic Emergencies 
 
We are pleased to be able to offer this specialist course. All of our trainers have undertaken a specialist nursing course in diabetes, and therefore have a good understanding of the condition and the emergencies that can occur. 
 
We are able to offer versions of this course for childcare and adult environments. 
 
Our course covers: 
 
What is diabetes? 
Symptoms of poorly/uncontrolled diabetes 
Management of hypoglycaemia 
Management of hyperglycaemia 
Supporting a child/colleague with diabetes

Basic Life Support for non-clinical staff

Automated External Defibrillation (AED) 
 
The AED course will give you an overview of the Chain of Survival, as well as teaching you about ‘shockable’ cardiac rhythms. It will teach the principles of defibrillation, the Resuscitation Council (UK) Guidelines, and familiarise you with an AED. You will practice using an AED in scenarios and will have a competency assessment.

These courses have been designed to meet the needs of healthcare workers wishing to improve their medical knowledge and skills as part of their continuing development. Our trainers are all qualified nurses who have experience in working in both clinical and community settings.
